Moore Family: Parker’s Newborn Session

I had such a great time photographing the Moore family! Ryan and Kendra are so excited for their new addition, Parker, and Grady is a very proud big brother! Of course, I captured some of just Parker but I always love incorporating the entire family as well and some of my favorite shots are with Kendra and Ryan interacting with their baby boy- such special moments in their lives. Baby Parker is surrounded with so much love and I look forward to watching him grow! Also, his Aunt Lauren and Uncle Tyler are tying the knot in August so I can’t wait to photograph this family again at their wedding! Thank you, Moore Family! I hope you love the photos! Allison

Pasadena Engagement: Delicia and Todd

This past Sunday, I met up with Delicia and Todd at Pasadena City Hall. We took a few photos around the grounds before heading up to Millard Canyon in Altadena for a different look. Todd is passionate about hiking and being outdoors, so the environment at Millard Canyon was perfect to capture this lovely couple. Also, on their second date, Todd bought hiking boots for Delicia… so she knew from the beginning that hiking was going to be part of their lives as a couple. I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding in June at the amazing Long Beach Museum of Art! Also, special thanks to Stacey of Stacey Sewell Designs for introducing me to Delicia and Todd! Los Angeles Wedding: Stacey Sewell Designs

A few weekends ago, I had the honor of photographing wedding details and a few portraits of Nikole & Philip’s wedding for Stacey Sewell Designs. Stacey did all of the design and implementation (with a few helpers) for Nikole and Philip’s wedding in Los Angeles. She completely tranformed the gymansium at Zion Hill Baptist Church in LA for the reception. I absolutely love the use of colors and Stacey did an incredible job with all the details. Also, I captured a few shots of Nikole getting the finishing touches done with her make-up and hair as well as a few shots of the processional. Thank you, Stacey, for having me capture your work and I look forward to working with you again very soon at Tené & Jermel’s wedding and Delicia & Todd’s wedding in June!

Long Beach Newborn: Will Armstrong

Last week, I photographed baby Will (13 days old) at his home with his mom and dad. I have known his dad, Brian, for 27 years and his mom, Jen, is also a Trojan- so needless to say, it was an honor to capture this family of three (well, five, including their pups Roxy and Merlin). When I photograph newborns, I love capturing their environment as well as their interaction with mom and dad, so I just love this set of photos! Enjoy just a few of the many photos of this adorable baby boy and I look forward to watching him grow for many years to come. Best, Allison

Long Beach Engagement: Rena and Garrett

A few weeks ago, I headed out with Rena and Garrett to brave the cold winds in Long Beach! Seriously, it was one of the windiest days in Long Beach but we made the most of it and were still able to get some great photos (and Rena and Garrett were able to send out their save the dates with a photo on time- a win win situation!) Both Rena and Garrett live near Long Beach, so they wanted to capture the local environment. We ventured out to several different locations (downtown, 1st street, Mother’s Beach, Ocean Blvd., the Peninsula)… we had a great time chatting and finding places to escape the wind- I think we did a good job! Rena and Garrett simply adore each other and are so excited to tie the knot- they are such a beautiful couple! Congrats on your engagement, Rena and Garrett, and I look forward to capturing your wedding in September! Enjoy, Allison

Long Beach Engagement: Karen and Brian

A few weeks ago, I met up with Karen and Brian in downtown Long Beach for their engagement session. We had a great time walking around downtown while finding alley ways, fountains, brick backgrounds, stair cases, and then we hopped in the car and drove about a mile to Shoreline Village to finish the session. Karen and Brian are so much fun to work with and then continually made each other laugh (me too!) and they are clearly so in love. Karen and I also discovered we are both Trojans (she is getting her Masters in education at USC), so it’s always fun having that immediate connection. Thank you, Karen and Brian, for being so wonderful to work with and I am looking forward to your wedding in June! Enjoy, Allison

Chicago Wedding: Allison and Matt (sneak peek)

This past weekend I had the honor of flying out to Chicago to capture Allison and Matt’s intimate Chicago wedding. It was fabulous to spend a few days with them to document their rehearsal and wedding day! Los Angeles Engagement: Tené and Jermel

A couple weeks ago, I met up with Tené and Jermel to photograph them around Venice Beach and Marina del Rey. This fabulous couple wanted to do an engagement session that represented their LA lifestyle, so we found some great spots. Jermel recently moved to LA to be with the love of his life, after living in New York City. He might be a New Yorker at heart, but still appreciates the sunny California way of life. We started on Abbott Kinney in Venice Beach, then headed towards the sand, canals, and then finished in Marina del Rey. It was a gorgeous morning and I had a great time getting to know Tené and Jermel. They are tying the knot this summer and I am looking forward to capturing their day. Flush-Mount Wedding Album (12 x 12 Studio Sample)

I’m always so excited to receive packages, especially when it involves photography! About a week ago, I received this gorgeous sample album to share with my clients when we meet to discuss their wedding photography. I put together images from a few different weddings to show the quality as well as a variety of my work. The albums I offer clients are handcrafted in Los Angeles with the finest materials and use the highest quality prints. They are flush-mount so the images are printed on thick high-quality paper and the pages lay flat. I offer this size album (12 x 12) with some of my wedding collections and they can also be added on al la carte to any of my photography services. Once the bride and groom pick their favorite images, I design the album and send the album layout to the bride and groom for their approval. For this sample I kept it simple and classic by choosing black for the cover, but there are a variety of colors and materials to choose from (see swatch below). Last week I ordered another sample album with a lighter linen cover and I’m so excited for it to arrive. The other thing I love about the albums is that the bride and groom can choose to have an image on the front and it can be as large or small as they want in any location on the cover, which adds a personal touch. Hogan’s First Trip to the Dog Beach

Many of you have seen photos of Hogan on facebook or received a dog announcement (yes, I am a crazy doggie mom and sent out dog announcements!), but I thought it was about time I put together a blog post- I was just waiting for a special event! Hogan became part of our family on December 15 when he was just 10 weeks old, and we have had the best time with him around our house. We wanted to wait until he got his last puppy shot before we took him to the beach and exposed him to different dogs. Since this was his first time touching sand and water, I had to bring my camera along! He LOVED the sand but wasn’t such a fan of the ocean (to his credit, it was very cold, and he is used to warm baths). I’m convinced he’ll be a water lover as it gets closer to summer!
